Winterthur Estate Lounge Chair

The Winterthur Estate lounge chair is a garden chair in the traditional sense, with a gracefully arced back and pierced aluminum panels that let light and air through rather than blocking a view. At 28 inches wide it is compact enough to sit in a border or on a small terrace, and its metalwork gives it presence beyond its size.

## Design and Construction
The frame is premium weather-resistant powder-coated aluminum with an aluminum seat deck, so there is no fabric platform under the cushion to hold water. The back panels carry pierced aluminum mesh decor accented with aluminum finials, and the arms are cast aluminum shaped to the silhouette of a pedestal urn with a slightly tapered flat top. Those are the details that connect the chair to the decorative arts collection the Winterthur Estate line draws from. The finish is Obsidian Black.

## Comfort and Seating
The seat measures 24 inches wide by 21 inches deep at a 22 inch height, the tallest seat height in this group of chairs, which makes it particularly easy to rise from and comfortable for anyone who does not want to sink low. Arms sit at 24 inches, close above the cushion, and the flat top gives a genuine place to rest a forearm. At 51 pounds the chair is solid without being difficult to move around a garden as the sun shifts.
